Our Ollie the Dragon logo has been designed by Blaze fan Dave Copping from an original work by Kevin Pavilec, He is called Ollie and he is an Irish Dragon (you may have spotted a couple of clues). His full name is Ollipeist and he is perhaps the most famous of the Irish Dragons.

The story goes that when St. Patrick arrived in Ireland, the first thing he did was to rid the land of snakes. Having dealt with the snakes he then began imprisoning dragons. It was then that Ollipeist decided it was time to move on. As he fled, he managed to cut a furrow into the ground with his tail. Later this became known as the Shannon Valley.

Where did he flee to? Coventry, of course!
